Indigenous Alberta author, Wayne Arthurson who was Writers’ Guild of Alberta Writer in Residence for the Winter 2019 Writing Retreat at Banff Centre. Bio to follow.
TIME: 9:30 a.m. Prayers with Indigenous Elder
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Workshop
WORKSHOP THEME and APPROACH: From Story to Poem.
Bring a favourite short story from which you will create a poem.
There will be opportunity to work from a story written by Workshop Leader, Wayne Arthurson as well as
Opportunity to present the poem you create (either fresh, or from the story you bring)
Bring your creativity along with whatever form you like to use in writing.
PARTICIPANT NUMBER: The workshop is limited to 20 participants.
