2019 as THE YEAR OF THE GROUSE
got underway in the spirit of warmth and commitments on January 4 at Pigeon Lake when more than 30 people gathered to launch this special year.
Donations in support of a fund for the following, and likely other reasons, has begun:
draw attention to this marvelous prairie bird, its habitat, its ways and its status.
study grouse status in a scientific way,
establish system for documenting and communicating grouse status
interpret grouse in artistic ways including visual, music, literarch and other
identify places with grouse leks
contribute to the overall protection, wellbeing and continuation of grouse.
